Qualified Stride trainers work directly with your student leaders in a one-day training workshop and assist the students in:

• Understanding different aspects of being a leader, including – What leaders do, the characteristics of effective leaders, the responsibilities of leaders, and the key components of effective leadership.
• Developing leadership skills such as—giving instructions, active listening, being assertive and fair, working in a team, problem-solving, supporting others, being empathetic, public speaking and brainstorming.
• Creating leadership group initiatives that strive to have a positive impact on the school or community. This includes a detailed planning process and guidelines for realising group ideas.

The skills development process involves learning through interactive activities with debriefing sessions that solidify learning outcomes. These activities, as well as games and program information, are detailed in the Handbooks given to students and teachers during the workshop.
