Developing leadership skills and supporting student leaders to create positive change

Student leaders thrive when they are empowered; given the tools and opportunity to make real change within their school communities, they become an asset to themselves, their families and the schools who’ve provided them with the chance to grow!

Stride’s Leadership program is designed to give your new student leaders the skills to perform their role to the highest level, to be role models for younger students and create a school environment that is safe, thriving and supportive.

The Leadership program is perfect for School Captains, Vice Captains, SRC Representatives and specific interest leaders.

How the Leadership program works

During the day of Leadership Training, students are asked to develop their own culture within their leadership group. The aspiring leaders can then work as a cohesive unit, knowing they are aligned with the same vision.

Developing skills like teamwork, public speaking and listening, enables the student leaders to perform their roles effectively when working as a group, or undertaking tasks individually. Most importantly students come away from the training empowered. An emphasis on planning enables your young leaders to create change within their school communities, by organising events and initiatives that make a difference to their fellow students on a day to day basis.

Stride’s Leadership Program helps your aspiring leaders to find their voice and to take action in the 21st Century.
