MPower Girls (Friendship Program)

  • Purpose: Designed to transform how female students interact by promoting mindfulness, assertiveness, empathy, and resilience. Utilizes narrative therapy techniques to guide students in understanding friendship, body language, negative comments, and conflict resolution

  • Curriculum Links (Personal & Social Capability):

    • Express Emotions Appropriately

    • Negotiate & Resolve Conflict

    • Make Decisions

    • Communicate Effectively

    • Understand Relationships (Levels 4 & 5)

  • Outcomes:

    • Stronger peer relationships

    • Conflict management skills

    • Increased confidence and resilience

Revved Up (Emotional Regulation Program)

    • Purpose: Encourages self-reflection and positive behavior when managing anger and emotions. Teaches students to cool down, maintain safety, avoid escalation, and use positive self-talk

    • Approach: Uses elements of narrative therapy and practical activities to shift focus toward constructive solutions grounded in personal experience.

    • Curriculum Links (Personal & Social Capability):

      • Self-discipline & Goal Setting

      • Resilience & Adaptability

      • Understanding Relationships, Conflict Resolution, Decision-making (Levels 4–6

Peer Support (Mentoring Program)

      • Purpose: Eases transitions by training senior students to mentor younger peers through listening, assertiveness, planning, and workshop delivery. Builds confidence, fosters relationships, and strengthens school culture.

      • Curriculum Links:

        • Personal & Social Capability: Communication, Resilience, Initiative, Leadership (Levels 4–6)

        • Critical & Creative Thinking: Idea clarification, knowledge transfer, action planning (Levels 4 & 6)

Peer Mediation (Conflict Resolution Program)

        • Purpose: Empowers senior students to resolve minor schoolyard conflicts using structured mediation steps (6-Step Model), listen empathetically, assert, brainstorm, and escalate serious issues appropriately—freeing up teacher time and building a supportive school environment.

        • Curriculum Links (Personal & Social Capability):

          • Contribute to Civil Society

          • Negotiate & Resolve Conflict (Levels 4 & 5)
